On May 11, 2008 permission was granted for the LMA:
"hello,
I'm in a taper-friendly band called Engine, and we would like to be added to the archive. here's our taping policy:
Engine not only approves of but greatly encourages the practice of recording and taping our live shows. We feel that live performance is lightning in a bottle, and should be captured whenever and however possible to be watched or listened to later. ANYBODY is welcome to tape us using WHATEVER they want: video cameras, audio recorders, cassette, etc. Tapers are also encouraged to distribute their recordings as widely as possible, however it is up to the taper whether or not to distribute it at all. If we were to ask for a copy of the recording or request that the taper distribute it (or keep it private), we expect the taper to comply.
